Grays has been selected by the government to receive its share of the £3.6billion Towns Fund. It is one of just 101 places to benefit from the fund and will potentially receive up to £25 million to help improve infrastructure, drive economic growth and increase job opportunities.
Grays is the civic and cultural centre for Thurrock, with the Boroughs’ theatre, central library, South Essex College offering FE and HE education, and the main civic offices. As a market town with its train/bus interchange Grays is the main town centre serving the residents of the Borough.
Community is key and people that live, learn and work in Grays are crucial in helping define what our town needs.
The launch of the Towns Fund has already seen many residents and businesses respond to the call to level up Grays, leveraging on the towns proud past and strong future and we are keen to hear more.
