Grays town centre already has the busiest rail station and bus terminus in the borough but has its share of traffic congestion which also makes travel difficult for pedestrians and cyclists.
Its position on the River Thames and opposite the site of the proposed London Resort provide a unique opportunity for river bus services.
Good accessibility helps everyone, improvements to travel that does not need the car can reduce congestion and improve the quality of the air we breathe.
Tell us what you think, here’s a few suggestions to start;
- We could extend the bus station to provide space for more buses and better customer waiting areas
- Provide better routes for cyclists and pedestrians-for leisure and for access to the town centre; where could these go?
- ‘Smart Signage’ to provide information about traffic, parking, and bus and train timetables
- A jetty to support river bus services
