The Grays Riverside stretching from Grays Beach Park westwards in to South Stifford offers a wide range of opportunities to provide a destination park space for everyone that lives, works and learns in Grays, and support the local economy.

Tell us what you think this could look like, here’s a few suggestions from feedback for far;

  • Public open space, informal leisure and meeting spaces, and play equipment
  • Places to eat and drink
  • Purposed designed events spaces
  • Gallery and indoor performance spaces
  • Formal sports facilities
  • Cycling and walking routes
  • Access to the beach area

  1. Lido! Would be a great attraction and draw people to the town who will spend. Town centre needs USP to differentiate from Lakeside and other South Essex towns. Waterside prime location and should be buzzing on evenings but you need to make it aspirational and highlight what we want Grays to become rather than what it is now. Plant cherry blossoms and create a sakura festival. Fund artist studios waterside. Create lit walkways for families and exercisers. Etc
